When oh When will we move in???

Everyone keeps asking that question, trust me I ask that everyday! Truth is, there is still a lot to be done.  First the tongue and grove on the ceiling to cover all of the insulation is a HUGE job.  Then there is the banisters.  This design element is still in great debate...I will let you know when Kenny makes a final decision. As for me as long as it isn't pink and he doesn't install it...it's all good with me...lol!

Right now Kenny is installing the hand hammered copper in the kitchen over the stove and wet bar, then we have to stain/tarnish it to match the sink. Once that is done the Mason can finish his work.  That was a huge job and thank God we had it installed by a pro.  Truth is if Kenny and I had to pick each stone and place it, we would never move into that house...Trust me it is an art form and these photos do not do it justice....Can't wait to show it off to all of you!

As for the back splash for the stove, this is not decided either.  Nothing pops out as the "right" choice. Neither Kenny (Mr. Indecisive) nor I can find the answer but this too will have to be done very soon...stay tuned for that choice...

Well, we have a busy season coming up, Amanda has her performance @ Church on the 19th and 20th of May, Ryan turns 18 (how did that happen) on June 5th, He graduates High School on the 8th, Family party on the 10th, friend party on the 16th.  Then there is college stuff and summer vacation and Amanda's birthday and Ryan off to school, looks like Rutgers for Ryan! So I will try to keep you in the loop but as you can see , updating this blog only happens yearly but I will try to do better! I promise! God Bless and talk to you all soon!

The mason is started

Hi all, I know it has been over a year since I added any information to this blog...but things are really moving along.  Finally the stone was picked, ordered, paid for and even picked up and now at the property! As you all know there was great debate over the stone but finally Kenny found what he was looking for....

The Mason started on Palm Sunday 2012 and has as of today about 2 days of work still to do.  Here are some photos!

Amanda Found this Stone and it will be placed in the center of the foundation of the fireplace as the symbol of the foundation of the home, our love!

This is the stone hearth for around the wet bar....pretty right?
